Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

You have a special place Dear Lord
  that I know you'll always keep
A special place reserved for dogs
  when they quietly fall asleep
With large and airy kennels
  and a yard for hiding bones
With maybe a little babbling creek
  that chatters over stones.
With wide green fields and flowers
  for those who never knew
about running freely under
  Your sky of perfect blue.
Lord,I know You keep this Special Place
  And so to you I Pray,
For one special Bichon Frise
  Who quietly died today
He was full of warmth & love
  and so very, very wise.
The puppy look he once had
  Had long since left his eyes.
He is dearly missed my Lord
  But we know he has his angel wings

now he is in heaven above, please don't let him  be afraid  and remind him of our love.

The Last Battle

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,

Hello My Beautiful Angel.

It is 12.34 pm here at home in the uk, today is the 30th Mrch 2009. it was today 3 years ago that I lost the most precious friend and companion, I lost you my angel and with you ,you took my heart. It seems so long ago since I held you in my arms,yet I can remember every minute of that day.Oh how I miss you Barney,You are so very special to me, I knew that one day I would lose you as you were 16 years old, and I knew my heart would break, but I thought after a while the pain may get a little easier, but it hasn't.I look at Thomas, and I adore him but all I can see is you,he looks so much like you, he also has beautiful brown eyes that are filled with love,as yours were.He is very naughty and is always getting into mischief,where as you  were always such an angel.

I love you my darling and whilst I love our other boys, Thomas,Buddy and of course your little friend Jack, who is still here, he will be 15 this year, you have a special place in my heart that nobody will ever fill.

You are the brightest star in the sky and you will shine forever. You are my Guardian Angel.

Wait for me Barney, one day we will be together again,when that day comes we will be together forever.

Hello My Beautiful Angel.

I will love you forever, I have been told today that the reason  why you didn't come and see us after we lost you was that your spirit is in baby thomas.

The lady that told me this can communicate with animals that have gone to Rainbow Bridge, and I asked her if she could speak with you , my heart has been broken from the day I lost you and I thought because you haven't been back to see us that you were angry with us for letting you go., but my darling we did what was best for you, I know you know that now.

She told me that your spirit is now inside thomas and all I have to do to see you is look into his  dark brown eyes,I can see the love in his eyes Barney just as I saw it in yours every time I looked at you.

My mind has eased a little, but I want you to know that one day we will be together again and the next time I hold you in my arms I will NEVER EVER let you go.

You earned your wings on 30th March 2006.

You are the most loving precious friend anyone could have, and when I lost you a huge part of my heart wnt with you.

I will love you forever.
