I was saved and I did not even realize how special a dog could be.
He was so enthusiastic about life, he brought meaning for me to see.
Just going outside was a gift to bear, now that he is gone
there is little to share.
I miss your black hair and wigging tail.
Some days it gets so rough, I do not know how I will prevail.
You brought something very special to my life.
I once was angry and filled with strife.
Some will never know the joy that I felt when you were here
You will always be close to my heart you beautiful dear.
Emptiness describes the pain that I fill inside,
it is because the way you lived, and then how you just died.
You tried to say goodbye to me and I refused listen,
there was a certain spark in your brown eyes that was missing.
To never see you again is quite soul wrenching,
I feel like I am at my own private lynching.
I have come to realize that small and great
are equally as important in our lifetime.
You were the pick of the litter and so very hard to find.
I will never be the same ever again, thats because you were my one only true friend
You are with God now looking down on me,
thank you so much for setting my heart free.
