Blacky Boy Lenhart
Blackie Boy was rescued from the shelter when he was six weeks old, his mommy died giving birth to him and his 10 siblings. My husband just came home unexpectly one sat morning with him after Christmas in 1992. We were so happy. We didn't have any other animals so we were delighted to have this little black ball of fur baby. He was so sweet licking and playing he won our hearts instantly. He had one lazy ear and the other stuck up all the time. When we would talk to him that lazy ear would move and move it was so cute. My girls were 3 and 9 when we got him. They loved him, our youngest would put him in her doll stroller and push him around, he didnt care. He lived to be 16 yrs old, he was a great dog. He brought such joy to our lives. He was intended to be an outside dog and was for a few years but us girls whined and cried till daddy brought him in when it was extreme hot or cold, before you knew it he was in most of the time. He loved it. He got where he did not want to go out but to do his thing. He left lots of black fur around the house for us but that was ok too. Blackie loved to play catch with a tennis ball. Even up till the week of his death he still had enough in him to go a few rounds. He was awesome!!! Blackie lived a long good life. We miss him dearly but we know we will see him again one of these days. We know he no longer hurts and can run and catch that ball like he used to. You have a very special place in our hearts Mr. Blackie Boy, our Kingtut. We miss you terribly. As you know now Blackie that Snoopy died and is with you in heaven also so take care of him for us. I know, I know Snoopy never liked you but I believe he does now. WE love you big boy. Also take care of Sissy too. You will always be missed.
Love, Mommy, Daddy , Danielle and Ashley and your other furry siblings, Molly and Buddy boy
