Boomer

I still remember how we got my dog. We got him because he was on sale! But it wasnt the money he was the cutest little puppy there. I was 7 and on vacation. Man he was a hassle on the way home during the 2 1/2 hour drive! haha!! He was never good in cars.

Years passed and we grew closer and closer, going for walks (oh whenever he heard or saw his leash he got so excited!!), and just enjoying eachothers company. Then we got a beautiful little yorkie named Misty in 2005 and boy did she keep him young for the last years of his life, running with him, biting his ankles (he loved it and hated it at the same time), and sharing the last seat of the sofa. Even my two cats loved him.

Then in October of 2007 he started to leek. So we tried medication after medication after medication. He was in  bad shape, panting really loud in the middle of the night and when I got home from school i watched him try to poop and he couldnt do it..... So i called my dad and told him we should get it done earlier because he was suffering.

So I went off to work and was working for about 30 minutes when my manager told me to go home early and I should know why.

Ill never forget when they gave him the needle to make him tired and he tried to lift his head off the table and slammed it against the table in failure. Then the veterinarian came in and shaved his arm and gave him the needle.

I dont regret going at all I wanted to be the one he loved and seen till the end...

He was only 11.

I really loved him.......

Dear Tony,
What a beautiful memorial to your boy Boomer.I know it's hard to grow up with your boy and lose him. You were very brave to stay by his side until the very end. i know that was a very painful experience to watch him die, but Boomer knew you were with him and that makes a difference for him to feel safe with you. I'am so sorry for your loss. Please take care of yourself. Caliya's Mom
