I remember the day we got Buster.  A friend and I found his brother, who had escaped from the yard, roaming the neighborhood and returned him to the owner.  She told us there were two puppies and they were looking for a home for one of them.  We took Buster to Mom and she instantly fell in love with him!  Of course, who couldnt looking at that cute little Buster face!  Mom took him inside and plopped him down on Dads stomach while he was watching TV.  After that, Buster was ours!  Buster brought a lot of joy to our family.  I remember him wrestling with Mookie when they were younger, having Buster pull us on our roller blades, and the way Buster would follow Dad everywhere!  There is a definite void in our homes and our hearts now that Buster is gone.  I miss you Buster!!!

Out of all the dogs in the pack I think Buster was the only one who never jumped on me when I came over, tried to steal my food, or took my place on the couch.

I remember so many things about Buster. He always always seemed happy to see you. He was just happy in general. I remember once going with Lisa and her dad and Daniel (was Josh there too?) to the store and we brought Buster. It was a quick stop, but when we went back to the car he bolted out the first door that was open. It scared all of us half to death to have him running around the parking lot, but it was also funny because Buster was clearly having a great time. He was a good dog, and I will be sad the next time I go for a visit - to not see Buster.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
