It was six years ago, we decided to walk into a Pet Store. We were looking at all the wonderful variety of breeds, and there he was. There in the midst of all the breeds stood this one little puppy above the others. There was something about this little green eyed chihuahua puppy I could not resist. This adorable small puppy looked up at me and it was truly love at first sight. Little did I know this little guy would soon become a special part of our family, melting our hearts in his own little way.
Cody loved the sun that would shine over his beautiful fawn colored coat. He would close his eyes and enjoy the summer breeze. It was like music to his ears. He enjoyed long walks and loved to run around and enjoyed as you would watch him and play catch with him. He brought so much happiness into our home. He enjoyed birthdays and especially barbecues. Boy did he enjoy them. He enjoyed the attention of our family and good friends. He loved to be cuddled and enjoyed sleeping under a nice warm pillow while his little tail would stick out just to let you know he was there. He was a loyal little guy. He would wait for you to get home and greet you with kisses. He loved most of all getting his belly rubbed. He was a happy little guy with so much love to give. He stole each of our hearts away. He brought so much happiness into our home and was the little king of our home. He knew it too. He was our baby.
There is a saying, "all good things must come to an end" this is true. I believe it now because Cody was taken away from us too soon. On a sunny morning, Cody was struck by a car. He tried to hold on strong to the very end, unfortunately, he could not any longer. He was not supposed to leave this way. He deserved the very best his little life had to offer him. Cody took a little part from us. We miss him truly today.
Cody, we will "always" keep you in our hearts. We love you. You were and always will be our little guy, our little Cody.....Joey, Ivette & Family
