Dong Dong

冬冬 Dong Dong, my adorable, beloved son was gone today, without saying goodbye to his mommy. Do you know how much I regret, I regret that I did not hug him for couple more minutes before I go to work, and now he's gone, I can't hug him anymore....

He was a Collie, me and my husband met him in the winter of 1992, that's why I named him 冬冬 (冬 means Winter in Chinese). At that time he was eight weeks old,  this cutie, tiny doggie was playing among the Collie puppies, at least ten there, still we found him, we fell in love with him at the first sight, I hold him in my arms right away to avoid someone else take him away from me. Ever since then, he follows wherever I go, just like my shadow; whenever I turn around, he'll be there, looking at me with his smiling face. 

Dong Dong, thanks for gave me 15 happy years, your paws left prints on my hearts, I will never forget you. Just have fun with Happy & MiMi at the Rainbow Bridge, when my day comes, we will be reunion there, never again to be separated.

I ONLY WANTED YOU

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you

RAINBOW  BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
