Dakota ( a.k.a ) Cody Boyles was born in Chardon Ohio On March 1 1996 to Fireside Grand Alexander (sire ) & Fireside Calista Tucker (dam) We Were called on the Day He was born , We were very Lucky to be able to see him the very Next Day, As a Year priory to him We bought his Brother Bowman. Cody was the Most adorable little baby puppy I have ever Seen He was no bigger then my hand. On April 20,1996 it was time to being our sweet little baby boy home to meet his 1 year older brother Bowman. His brother was not so sure of him ,He kept smelling him and he would not let him touch his toys, He let the little guy know who was in charge and it was not going to him. Cody was a lovely and sweet Chocolate Labrador who had a beautiful face and eyes that were yellow as the flowers outside on a warm sunny day, He spent his first year in 1 bedroom apt. over a garage, He loved running and playing with toys and chewing on my socks and making his brother go nuts with envy. Cody also was a bad puppy as well as he had got into a box when we were moving and ate my wedding candles, ring pillows and some pictures and a few other items, needless to say I was not very happy with him, We had to move to a town home Apt. a year later and it was a tough for him and his brother to get use to living in a 2 by 4 of a yard since they left a big yard to roam and play, but they adjust and handle the small area and did the best they could. Cody was a very happy dog who loved affection and thrived on it so much. In June 1998 We moved to our new home in Madison Ohio and I was not sure how Cody and Bowman were going to handle themselves and if they were going to terrorize the neighborhood or what, To my surprise they adapted very well and soon learned their boundaries and were very happy puppys, we would walk them around the neighborhood everyday and he loved going for a run with his dad it was a special bonding time for him and his master. Our neighbors would always compliment coty on how well manned he was, He was a dog who stayed by your side and never left you always followed you around everywhere, He was a proud papa when his masters had twin baby boys in 2004, He would run down the hallway when the babies would cry and alert us to the babies crying. He cared for the kids and loved our kids, He protected our kids like they were his own, One day I was walking the twins around the neighborhood and I never put Coty On a Leash as he never wandered away, we came across a house with a dog who was in his yard and we were on a sidewalk coming near the dog who was coming towards us and Sweet Coty stood in the middle between the twins and that dog who was barking at us. Coty put his head down half way looking at the dog and looking back at the twins as I walked them across the street to the other side, When we got to the side walk Coty looked at the dog and walked across the street and we continued on with our walk. I knew then he cared for my family and protected them till the end. Coty Started to get sick I think at the end of 2006 , We thought he had a stroke but the blood test stated he didn't and that they were not sure what it was. I always thought after that something was not right with him and yet he never complained or yelped for anything, Dr. said he was happy and health until Jan 21 2008 when the week prior our sweet coty was not eating and very little drinking water, We were preparing to put his brother down as he has developed conigtive behavior and he was getting worse, we never saw this coming, such a shock and I am taking this so hard as I loved him so much! He was a puppy I always wanted since I was a little girl. Coty you were the best friend a family could of ever of had. you will be missed . You are forever in our hearts ! I Love you Always and Forever, Enjoy those walk my Friend in Peace with no pain !! Sadly Our Sweet Dakota Boyles passed away Jan 21,2008

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be
So he put his arms around you and whispered,
"Come with me"
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
and saw you fading away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped breathing,
running paws were laid to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best !
