Jack Wheeler Tributes

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge
.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross
Rainbow Bridge
together....

To the Staff of My Doggies Daycare in RSM,

If you ever loved a dog and lost your beautiful animal and thought no one could understand the depth of your pain and loss -- then kindness, love, and generous souls cross your path and you know your furry son was truly loved and cherished by caring and beautiful people.

Dena loved Jack, that she named him "Happy Jack". The name caught on with the staff at My Dogggies Daycare. Dena sent us a card and a photo frame with Happy Jack. It made us so happy to know others loved and will miss him, too.

Then the next day we received flowers from the entire staff. How generous and loving are their actions.

Then the next day a pretty handmade card with every signature, beautfiul and heartwarming words comforted us even more.

Thank you for loving Jack and knowing he will be missed.

Jack came from a broken and dysunfctional home. I think that is why I made an immediate connection with me - we shared a rough and difficult childhood. He was bashful, shy, submissive, and unsure of people. It took me a while, but I just knew he needed lots of love and he would be okay. Jack's purpose in myu life was to be my friend until the end. He was loyal, trustworthy, and protective. He would look at me with these emotional eyes and he would just STARE at me, I would STARE back and we would have these contests to see who would LOOK away first. It seemed like he was part human at times. I just miss him but I am grateful for the time we had. God has taught me that it isn't the time we don't have, but the time we do have. He was truly my "doggy" soulmate and there will only be one Jack, I just miss him.

His Dad

I smell your favorite chair and I am not as playful right now because I miss you my brother. I loved you so much even though I know I liked to boss you around, you were my strength.

Ruth and Craig,

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet Jack. It's so unfair when one we love is taken before their time. How lucky we are to be loved by a dog.

Ruthie and Craig,

Our heart goes out to you - we know how it feels to lose one of your best friends with no warning. Hug Josie, and hug her again... give her extra treats and the first time she does something she shouldn't - let it go.

Dearest Ruthi & Craig,
It was tragic to know that Jack had passed. When I first met Jack, I just wanted to love on him. We usually got along except for one incident, but we forgave each other. I will miss him dearly. I pray that you will find peace during this solemn time. In loving memory!

Ruth, Craig, Leonard and Josie,

I am so sorry for the loss of Jack. The memorial is beautiful, but darn it, it made me cry! I know how much more than just a pet he was. He will be missed. He was given a great life by joining your family. Just think about the joy you gave him and he gave you. That is truly a blessing.

Dear Ruth, Craig, Leonard and Josie,

I am crying knowing about your loss and reading about the experience you went through. It is so hard loving a dog, because they are with us for only a short time. You were blessed, as was Jack, for having such a wonderful family. He'll be waiting for you in the clearing at the end of the path. One day you will be together again. With love,

Dear Craig, Ruth, Leonard & Josie,

We were so sorry to hear about your loss. When we adopt a pet they become part of our family. What a blessed life Jack had with a beautiful family. I know you will truly miss his warmth and comfort, but know that he is now in a beautiful place waiting to waig his tail for you again someday!

All our love, & God Bless, Brian & Jamie
