Maggie

Rescued from spending 3 years in a crate in a barn in deplorable conditions, there was no reason on earth for Maggie to love people and love life, but she did.

Thank you, Karen, for handing her over to us in the adoption kennel. Thank you, Kathy Johnson, for seeing her through those first tough 3 month as a 'foster mom.' Thanks to the GVHS for her photo-shoot and TV interview, and to Top Dog Foundation for electing Maggie as one of your calendar photo shoot winners. Thank you Kim (and Olive, Otis, and Lucy) for your loving care of Maggie when we were out of town. A special thank you to Dr. Dan and your loving staff and your tireless support.

Maggie, we and everyone who met you were amazed by your sweet and loving nature, eager to please, ever gentle. So much more than just a dog, you brought joy to our every day. We thank God for your gift of life, and that we could give you the life you deserved if only for a few short years.

Good bye, sweet girl. We miss you painfully already, but we know you are in peace now forever.

	Godspeed Maggie. You were a sister and a friend to Buddy and he will miss you. We will miss your greeting at the front door and your gentle nudge that you needed a pat on the head. You came a long way girl. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

	Maggie was a fighter Even with her allergies she never complained. I thank you for rescuing her and giving her the life you could, for that we are grateful. You will always be in our hearts, Maggie. Rest in peace.

	I was just thinking about Maggie and missing her and wondering what will fill the place she had in your home. Wondering how Thanksgiving will feel without her greeting everyone at the door and begging for just a little bit of turkey and potatoes. I hope you able to feast now Maggie, on whatever you want and never get sick again.
