You came to us after such a rough start. It was as if you knew that if you could just drag your pained body to Ed's front doorstep, you would eventually be delivered to us, your loving and forever home.
Your time with us was all too brief. We snuggled you, played with you, scratched your belly and brushed away your itchies. You shed so much, baby girl! It has been almost two months and we are still finding your fur in your favorite snuggle spots.
Your sisters Lucy and Cassie miss you terribly. Without their Nora, their leader, they have been lonely. Lucy constantly looks for someone else to snuggle with, and Cassie sniffs the spot where you had lain.
We miss you so much, Nora-Bora. Life isn't the same without you. My heart breaks a little more each time I think I see you out of the corner of my eye, and although I keep your picture on display, I miss burying my face into your soft fur. I miss your purr, I miss your insistent head butts to get me to scratch you. I miss being reminded (very noisily!) that the food bowl is empty. I miss you, and I cannot wait until we are reunited again. I know you will wait for me.
