Princess was found wandering in the valley and taken to the SPCA in January 96, when she was about 2. That February, while visiting the SPCA with mom, I saw this doggie that would not stop staring at me and that was it, as they say it was "love at first sight". She moved in that night and we named her Princess, and boy did she live up to her name.
Princess (aka Princie) loved to play with her stuffed animals, especially hand puppets, and enjoyed biting their necks and ears. But, she got upset if you tried to "fix" the holes or sew the eyes back on :). Princess had many beds, blankies and pillows, and would stare at you until you put her pillow under her head and covered her with her blankie. She was an adorably spoiled rotten doggie!
Princess loved to eat, especially apples, bananas, cheerios, chicken, and peperoni with her buddy Sean. If I ate an apple, she would bark until i gave her a piece (without skin of course). She loved to have her back scratched by "Momma" and to get her belly rubbed.
She enjoyed laying outside in the grass or laying in the door in the summer, of course with a blanket under her and a pillow close by. In the winter she enjoyed going outside withher jacket on and eating tonnes of snow. Princie hated going outside in the dark and in the rain, and if she got wet, she liked to be dried off with a towel. Nobody minded doing anything for her, because she was such a sweet dog and would pay you back by putting her paw on your arm and giving you kisses.
Princess was such a loyal and friendly dog. She was protective of her family and was very much a "people" person. You could not help but love Princie. If you weren't a dog person, she made you into one by her big kisses and those beautiful eyes.
Our little baby girl got sick really fast. After finding out she had lung cancer, we sadly had to put her down. Although it was the hardest thing we've ever had to do, we knew we could not let our little Princess suffer one minute longer. Princess passed away with her Becca and Momma by her side.
Princess will be missed forever by myself, her momma, her buddy Sean, Aunt Donnie, her little cousins: Haley, Brianna and Shayla, and her many family and friends.
**You can never be replaced...you were the best doggie...the hole thats left inside us will never be filled...the memories and special place you had in our hearts will never be erased...always in our thoughts**
Love you baby... Becca
