PandeeSue Stallman
You were never what could be called "ordinary" Pandee. Even on October 31 of 1997
when you were born your awesome spirit of life broke through the darkness of that
Halloween night. From that moment on your love for life and family was a flame that drew
many to you. You were singing before you were 8 weeks old and by the time you were
6 months old you were learning to "speak" and to "speak" out numbers ; answering questions like "What is One Plus One" and "How many 3s are in 9"....which amazed
everyone. Even though I taught you these things by giving you treats and telling you
to "speak"...you probably amazed me more than anyone. Our city newspaper did a
write up about you, saying you could probably do second grade math. Numbers and counting excited you as did singing and music; fiddle playing and flute playing which
you always sang with.
Beyond your talents was the heart that beat inside you! You were so faithful, so loving
and so loyal to guard the house and all your territory here. You patroled at night and sometimes in the day. You kept the "varmints" away and struck terror with any possum
that dared venture out of the woods into your yard.
Your love was enduring and true. You were there in happy times and you were there
in sad times.
You did your talent programs of numbers and singing for nursing homes, church groups, for foreign missionaries, for children and adults alike and especially helped with
autistic children, even helping one of them to "count" numbers!
You were a blessing.
Even when you disobeyed you wanted to be "forgiven" and "make it right again".
Your death was as awesome as your life. It was filled with music and when you
could do nothing else you sang. You sang and you barked when you wanted us
to change your CD which played 24/7 the last week of your life. You sang with
the violin that I played for you until you could sing no more and then you listened
for days on end to the music. You left this earth on the wings of song.
Forever you will live in our hearts, Pandee.
And every time I play your favorite fiddle tunes I will hear your voice soaring over
the high notes of the violin, filled with love, life and most of all, Joy.
Even though we had to let you go from this earth you will live always in our hearts.
The last song that played for you was "Nearer My God to Thee".
Truly now you are with Him.
