It is with deep sorrow to announce that Pookah Dowling, age 7, passed away on Sunday April 29th, 2007 in the arms of those who love him.
He lived a long and happily spoiled life much longer than pigs are expected to live. He was born in Sudbury, Ontario and spent the first 4 weeks of his life at the Ark Pet Shop until one day in March he was scooped up and taken to a new home by a tall blonde college student. He was a well traveled pig, having lived in various cities across Ontario including Sudbury, North Bay, Bracebridge and Barrie. He loved to lounge around the house and enjoyed finding a nice cozy place to burrow into and keep warm. He especially loved to get his daily treats from his Gramma and his favorites were strawberries, cucumbers and tomatoes.
Pookah made many friends along the way and will be greatly missed by his family: Mom, Shannon; Gramma & Grampa; Aunt Paula; Aunt Steph & Uncle Dwight; Uncle Sean & Aunt Jennie; and special friend to Dawson the cat of Wasaga Beach.
To my little Monkey: You were the best little buddy a girl could ask for... the house is terribly empty without you but my heart has been made full because you were such a big part of my life. I miss you so much already but will never forget you. ~ Mom

Sometimes due to veterinarian bills or financial hardship, pet owners suffering from pet loss are unable or unwilling to pay for pet memorials.
It is very difficult for us at Immortal Pets to delete memorials especially one such as this. We try to sponsor some of them temporarily while funds allow until the pet owner is able to contribute to the pet memorial or in some cases kind hearted pet owners make donations to help us keep pet memorials online.
We would also like to use this space to encourage pet lovers to continue to support your local ASPCA. By reading these pet memorials you will find a great many of these wonderful animals were adopted from the ASPCA or other shelters. Please help us continue to support the animal shelters.
