Raisin Mangelaars

Sweet, sweet Raisin, our baby girl. Here you are, returned home today in your last resting place; a little coffin with your tag glued onto it. You brought us pure joy, so many happy moments and endless affection. The day we went to have a look at you at the place where you were born you came walking towards us, with that silly little plastic clown in your mouth. Wagging your tail and being so playful. The morning we brought you home as a puppy, you snuggled up in my lap, and you have done that ever since, whoever was available for you on the couch. You were adorable, you and your dreamy eyes, yellowish-licorice coloured. Raisin, you ran many miles in your life, chasing bunnies and squirrels. You marked a pathway in our backyard, as you were frolicking and sniffing for hours. We even had to go and find you in the back yard at nightfall. You could be obsessed with your tennis balls for hours, staring at it, while standing frozen in that typical posture of yours. And haven't we walked for miles and miles in forests and fields. You and your buddy sister Fou, always side by side. You've been with us through multiple life changes, many good times and a few bad, but you never judged us, you didn't care. You were always thankful for the wonderful life you had. We miss you dearly, sweetie pie. We miss your head on our lap, staring at us with so much love. We miss your smell, you pattering through the house and your cheerful welcome home. I wish we could have had you around us forever and ever! Sweet dreams Raisin, baby girl. We'll be forever your friend. From now on we'll look at your beautiful wall pictures every day and we'll cherish all our great memories. With all our love, John, Katy, Goedele, Egied and your buddy sister Fou

Your candle will burn in our memories forever

A candle for your darling doggy and your family in their time of suffering and grief.

I have left a nice little poem for you. It made me cry when my beautiful cat Bandit passed away coming up to 2 years in February, 2011 but gave me hope that one day, we will all be reunited again.

God Bless you all
Jen

Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
