Rover

They say a dog is man's best friend, and that is so true. Rover and I used to love our walks on the beach, and after a hard day's snoozing, I would love to see his eyes light up at the mention of 'walkies'.

He would chase the old tennis ball we first found on that beach, and sometimes he would find a stick washed up on the shore. He would then forget about his ball and chase the stick for a while, before chewing it up into little bits. Then it was back to the ball again.

As Rover got older, he began to lose his sight, and so our walks had to become less energetic. Instead we would just able along the shore together, and enjoy being out in the open air.

Rover, I will always miss you, and I still go down to the beach to think of the times we spent there. You are my best friend, and always will be.

Love and hugs,

Daddy x.
