Sammy P endola

Sammy was bought as a kitten in January of '92 from a pet store in Lawrence, Kansas. He stuck out to me because he came up to me and was so warm and sweet. Brought him home, and he was a happy cat. He always was on my lap, or by my side. He went thought many times with his mom, both good and bad. He moved with me back to Illinois and lived with me until the day he passed. I bought him a brother to keep him company in '97. Gavin and Sam at first didn't like each other, but quickly warmed up to each other and were very close. They would lay together and hang out. The cat brood grew later on to include Furby, Max, Rocky, Holly, and Baby Girl. Sam was very accommodating and quickly made fast friends. He always looked out for his brothers and sisters. He was happiest just laying on the sofa looking out the window. He loved to beg for food when mom and dad were trying to eat dinner. Sometimes we would give in and let him have a piece of cheese or meat. He always was happy with his mom and dad. Last March Sammy lost 10 pounds in a month. He was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. He was put on pills, which he didn't like. He never was the same after that. A few weeks before he passed, he quit eating and laid by the water bowl. I knew he was getting ready to pass. I told him how much I loved him and that he was my son. My husband and I ate dinner and he just died peacefully. It was horrible. I miss him so much and a day doesn't go by that I don't think of him. He will be in my heart FOREVER!!!!

Mom and dad miss you Sammy. Nobody could ever take your place. We love you!

My favorite memory of Sammy is his escape from Pat and Mike's. Christy was living at Regents Lane and Sammy got out of the house. Everyone was panicked. I was particularly worried because of my own experiences with my cat, Kitty and her exploits. We scoured the neighborhood for an hour and there was no sight of Sammy. As we returned to Regents to regroup, Sammy was spotted leisurely strolling through Aunt Gretchen's backyard without a care in the world. Christy ran over and scooped him up. Sammy almost looked like he was smiling. Sammy I'll miss you. Love, Uncle Scott

Dear Sammy, we will all miss you. You made Christy so very happy and kept her company so many years, through so many highs and lows. We know that you are now in cat heaven, watching all of us from a cloud above.

Sammy was beautiful and so loved, I can tell. I lost my little guy 8 weeks ago and I know your pain. May peace find your hearts at this difficult time. and yes, Sammy is at home - right inside your hearts just where he belongs!!!
