Tasha Noelle
Tasha Noelle was born December 25, 1992, one of 13 Dalmatian puppies. The breeder recorded the entire event on film, and because of the unique patch on Tasha's tail, it was very easy to pick her out. She came to my home in Feb. 1993 and immediately you could see the sweetness and charm of this special little girl. She went through 3 levels of canine obedience, and in the last show she attended she lost. Why??? Because she kissed a judge at the very end. This was a testament to the 14 years and 8 months I would have this angel. The only sign of any anger would be a small little grump whine if someone took her pig ear, her favorite treat. In all her life the sweetness and gentleness would be more apparent as she visited handicapped children and the elderly. Nothing bothered her. She lived with her brother Leica (from the same litter) and with Kodak, a liver dalmatian I had acquired 5 years later. She enjoyed her run of a big yard with her siblings, rides in the car, trips to the beach, and most of all playing frisbee. Always an energetic little one, she always tried to sneak into a special flower bed so she could run away with a flower to sniff and examine.
This past Feb. 2007, everyone had a pink eye infection prompting antibiotics. Several weeks later her eye was swollen and was referred to a specialist who suspected a brain tumor. This was confirmed in March 2007. It was at this time I realized her true age of 14 years and how fast time had passed. She was given medication to ease her pain and make her comfortable, allowing me to have her another 5 more months. It was on August 11, 2007 at 2 pm that I had to make the most painful decision to allow my friend to finally rest. She will be cremated and placed here in our home and amongst the "forbidden" flower bed.
