Trixie Mattison

Trixie blessed our lives for 8 years. She passed on Christmas eve in her daddy's arms. After opening her presents she collapsed due to a unknown tumor growing on her heart. Trixie has left behind a legacy of love, goofiness and crazy antics that bring a smile to our faces during this incredibly sad time. We love you baby girl and miss you more than words can describe

"She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are her life, her love, her leader.
She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart.
You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion."
-- Geroge Graham Vest

"If there are no dogs in Heaven,
then when I die I want to go where they went."
--Will Rogers

"Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot about puppies."
-- Gene Hill

"There is no psychiatrist in the world
like a puppy licking your face."
-- Ben Williams

"I've seen a look in dogs eyes,a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt,
and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts."
-- John Steinbeck

"A dog is the only thing on earth
that loves you more than he loves himself."
-- Josh Billings

"Man is a dog's idea of what God should be."
-- Holbrook Jackson

"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesnt merely try to train him to be semi-human.
The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog."
--Edward Hoagland

"Love me, love my dog."
--George Chapman

We'll never forget the day your daddy brought you to meet us. We fell in love with you instantly and that love grew even more. You were always so happy to see us and we had such fun together playing. We loved taking you for walks down your street and you pulling us along...I guess because we weren't going fast enough. You'll always be in our hearts and minds. We're so glad we took a lot of pictures and movies of you. Also, we're very happy that your daddy brought you to share in our lives. You brought us a lot of joy and happiness. Love, Grandma & Grandpa

I will miss you so much Trixie. You were always and will be in my heart. I wish I could of spent more time with you over the past couple of years, but you always brought joy to my heart. I will remember the early days when you were just a baby girl and hung out with me. You were so tiny then. You will be very missed by your Auntie Diane and cousin AJ.

We keep looking out the window watching for you and your Dad to make the circle around to the back yard...its so hard to imagine that we won't be seeing you again. Marley will be looking for you every day she is out in the yard. We will all miss you so much! We promise to keep an eye on your Dad for you...thanks for being such a great neighbor-dog! We miss you!

You are missed terribly. You brought a special love to your daddy and everyone who knew you. I will miss sitting on your daddy's kitchen floor and playing with you. Thank you for taking such good care of your daddy; you were his sunshine. You will be forever loved.

She Is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and lose your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
